Protecting our legacy is the responsibility of the stalwarts of this august institution.
There are many who weekly post across social media with pride, the number of years they have given service, and quite rightly so they have been applauded not only by management but also officers who have worked hard and long with them in the S.W.A.T. vineyard.
Narratives of the good old days are heard around the office and many remember the days of yore when S.W.A.T. began its march towards excellence, that march that forged the reputation of it being the most feared security company in Trinidad, and yes Tobago.
Many of the foundational officers have migrated to management positions while others on the basis of seniority have emerged as leaders among their compatriots.
This is a good sign not only for every single officer but the company at large where everyone is treated like family.
2021 must be the year to protect the legacy that has been forged.
It is the responsibility of senior officers to pass on the baton to juniors who have joined this organization.
2021 is the year when the elders must see themselves as mentors ensuring that the discipline, the camaraderie, the love for the organization, and the family that was built remains as a feature of who we are.
Let us continue to be the preferred provider for security services in our region and let us champion the goals of S.W.A.T. wherever we go.
Let us protect the brand which has supported us through our roughest days and continue S.W.A.T. to ensure that it remains a household name across the region.
In 2021, let us be our brother’s keeper.
